Scott Miller & Sharon Virts


Scott was born and raised in a middle-class neighborhood outside of Philadelphia, PA. He is an engineer by training and started his career at General Electric. He was a Project Manager on the Hubble Telescope before moving to Reston, Virginia, where he managed a number of high-tech companies. In 2012, he became President of FCI Federal. The company provides operations support and outsourcing of adjudication services supporting immigration and background vetting with over 5,000 employees nationwide. FCI was sold in June 2016. Scott is focusing on his investments in wine, community education, and health initiatives.


Sharon was born and raised in Lucketts, Virginia, just a few short miles from Selma. She founded a market and business development consulting firm, FedConsulting, in 1991 at the age of 29. She transformed her business in 2005 to become a government contractor, rebranding the firm to FCi Federal in 2010. She stepped down as CEO in May 2016, handing the reins over to Scott. Since the sale of her business, Sharon is focusing her time on her charitable foundation, and its support of the Loudoun community, cultural and historical preservation.

The couple were married in early October 2016. They have 6 children between them – ranging in age from 15 to 30. Charlie is their only grandson.
